• Mixed: Polynomial + Rational + Exponential

Evaluating Logs

• Level 1: The argument of the log is a non-negative integer power of the base
• Level 2: The argument of the log is an integer (possibly negative) power of the base
• Level 3: The argument of the log is either an integer power of the base or an integer-index root of the base or its reciprocal. (i.e. log₈(2) is fair game, but log₈(4) is not) 
• Level 4: The argument of the log is any (reasonable) rational power of the base. (i.e. log₈(4) is fair game)
