I know a lot about AP Precalculus. I do not know a lot about coding. But I have thrown together some little applets for my students that I think are useful. In case they are useful to others I am putting them here. Sharing is caring.
I cannot overstate how little I know about coding. If something is not working on your end, let me know and I can try to fix it. If you have a request for a way you'd like to see one of these applets modified, feel free to reach out. I can't promise I'll be able to implement your idea, but no harm in you asking.
Unit 1
Function Sign, Rate of Change, and Concavity Vocab Practice: Keeping straight the difference between functions being positive and rates of change being positive and functions increasing and rates of change increasing and functions being concave up can be hard at first but easy once we get good at it. Let's get good at it. This applet is modelled after the language used on the released practice exams. It presents functions of all the types that will be seen throughout AP Precalculus.
FRQ 3(C)
Yes, FRQ 3 is inherently a Unit 3 questions. But part (C) is not.
- Part (i): The wording of the answer choices is identical to the exam.
- Part (ii): To the best of my knowledge, the wording of the answer choices would get full credit on the AP exam.
- Parts (i) and (ii) mixed
End Behavior
Unit 2
Unit 3
Unit Circle Trig Values
- Level 1: All six trig functions, but only the three important quadrant 1 angles.
- Level 2: The same as level 1, but this time including p/2, p, 3p/2, and 2p.
- Level 3: Includes all angles between 0 and 2p for which the reference angle is "special."
- Level 4: In addition to everything from level 3, this one includes negative angles and angles greater than 2p.
